Sunday Vanity: Get ready for monday

Welcome to the first post in the Sunday Vanity series. The concept behind Sunday Vanity lies in my firm belief that every sunday should be that one day when you focus only on yourself. Each day we are surrounded by people and that can be sometimes very rewarding but it can also be immensely exhausting. Which is precisely why for me sundays are those days when I unplug from the rest of the world and focus on myself.
Today's Sunday Vanity is all about inspiration to help us prepare for the week that lies ahead of us.

In the world we live in today and the movement pace we're forced to follow every single day, we often forget to stop for a second and remind ourselves to live life to the fullest — I know I do. I often forget that my daily life should not become a routine, a chore if you will, and that each and every day I need to give it my best and BE my very best. My promise to myself for tomorrow is to do something amazing, something new that will break my daily routine. I'm allowing myself the possibility for it to not be anything that other people might consider amazing, and the goal is simply to do something different and something that will make my day a lot better for myself and perhaps even someone else.
Do something different, do something amazing. Set your goal for today, tomorrow or every day to simply become the best you that you can possibly be. Not to please others around you but to improve your own opinion about yourself. Because when you think greatly of yourself, others will pick up on that and I promise you that you will shine in your brightest light.

Keeping in the theme of the day, becoming your best self sometimes requires you to step out of your comfort zone. After all people do say that best things never come easy, right? Well, so I've heard although I never allowed myself the chance to properly test that theory out. Keeping in your comfort zone is just so... comfortable? I feel good in my little bubble so it almost begs the questions: why would I ever want to step out of it? Saying goodbye is always such a difficult thing to do, saying goodbye feels awful and yet we leave things behind, we leave people behind and we change every single day. Sometimes that awful feeling when you move forward from something turns into the most amazing decision you could have ever made. It makes you feel alive. Well I decided to make slow steps out of my comfort zone, say goodbye to my little safe bubble and move forward.
Say goodbye to something that doesn't feel right anymore even though you think it's a huge part of you. Sometimes we just have to leave pieces of us behind to make place for better and improved pieces.

Last thing to remember is that some things just simply take time. I know I for one am one of the most impatient people that you'll ever meet and this is something I need to remind myself every single day. Some things just won't happen over night, perhaps not even in a span of a few months, maybe it will take years instead. So it's really important to not give up on those things, to not forget about them and leave them aside but to keep working harder and harder to achieve them. It doesn't matter if it's something like growing out your hair or something bigger as moving into your first very own apartment — don't give up and remind yourself every day of those goals that right now seem oh so far away because if you walk towards them sooner or later you will get there and you will feel more fulfilled than ever.
Take things slow. Don't give up ever. Better yourself. Be the person you want to be.
This concludes the first in the Sunday Vanity series. I really hope you enjoyed it and it brought you some much needed inspiration and motivation for a much better monday tomorrow.
