Adventure Time: Coffee Za It
The second post in the Adventure Time series is actually the one that kind of kick started this entire idea, as the adorable Ana Ina (now also known as my Beautypedia) from Lovely Little Luxuries mentioned this cute tiny little brunch place that she went to a few times and so we finally decided to grab some brunch on Wednesday. First let me start by saying that when we met up at the meeting spot I was just the tiniest bit (okay, maybe a lot) irritated because Ina and her boyfriend were running late. It was due to me being a bit (read: a lot) irritated since the day started and I just kind of laid it out on them for no good reason. All is good now though, since me and Ina have a special relationship that makes us both used to this kind of things.
Now since we got there quite late the place was packed, which is kind of not difficult to achieve since it's actually really that tiny, as you can see from the pictures above. I mean it really is as small as it seems from the pictures, trust me. Luckily enough after considering sitting outside a few people left their tables and we managed to snatch one up right on time and cozied ourselves quickly. At first I thought that the lack of space inside the coffee shop will end up getting on my nerves, it didn't take long for me to tune everyone around us out and focus on the conversation going on at our table. And a quick fun fact that will result in me getting kicked in my butt: Ina and her boyfriend were a lot less lovey dovey than they usually are and I didn't feel like the third wheel for once (btw I think they're one of the cutest couple ever).
We started off by inspecting the menu for a bit, which graphically speaking looks quite good which is something that is always a plus in my graphic designer mind. Although the lack of space between words can be a bit confusing and they could do a bit better typography wise, it has a good vibe, right? Me and Ina both went for their breakfast menu or well, in our case it was brunch, which includes muesli and fresh fruit and yoghurt, a croissant, coffee of your own choice and some freshly squeezed orange juice. All for €2, which is a complete bargain, don't you think? Mister Boy (otherwise simply known as Ina's boyfriend) went for a regular, albeit more expensive, menu and got a toast, pie and coffee. I think I can openly speak for the three of us when I say that the food was simply delicious, and I might even go so far as to say that by the end of our stay I actually grew to really like the tiny place, I think it's because it just feels so homey and cosy.
Coffee Za It, or well translated into English - Coffee To Go, focuses its marketing (obviously) on coffee to go and offer special discounts on it. For example, standard coffee to go will cost you €1, while the special ones will be discounted for 20%. It's such a shame that it's not closer to my college, as I just might grab a coffee there every single time before classes. But even so they also offer an incredible range of coffee, tea, iced tea and a vast variations of breakfasts and lunches. Now that the weather is supposed to be getting warmer, even though it's been getting colder here again, I have my eyes set on trying some of their iced teas as they have different tastes that I just really want to try out as soon as possible. What, I love me some iced tea!
Above you can see Ana Ina thoroughly examining their menu, even though we both knew from the get go what we'll order but she was just checking and writing down important bits and pieces to share with her readers. You can even see her beloved notebook and pen on the table. Another quick fun fact: 90% of her pictures are basically of her sitting in a coffee shop with her notebook and pen. On the left her boyfriend's arm makes an appearance, and usually she'd be attached to it because they're like two peas in a pod basically. Such an adorable couple, I swear.
And finally after we all finished our meals it was time to check out our social media in true bloggers style, right? You can see me enjoying my Bloglovin scroll in the picture below, that Ina so quickly snapped before I could even see. After that we slowly packed our things and went around the town, where you could see me in the company of two lovebirds walking hand in hand, while me and Boy (I swear, writing Ina's boyfriend is getting tiring) kept making fun of Ina just for a laugh or two. She still loves us (in slightly different ways, thank god).
You can find Coffee Za It on Trubarjeva 31 in Ljubljana, if you're ever around that area. It's a place that I would definitely recommend for a quick brunch, or even just to grab a coffee to go before taking care of your errands around town.
How do you guys feel about these pictures packed posts? Yay or Nay? What's your favourite brunch place?
