Sunday Vanity: Easter Special + Freebie

It's literally been ages since I did the last Sunday Vanity post, and I'm sorry for that. Now that Easter is here I thought this would be the perfect excuse to step away from the family lunches and get togethers, and just spend some quality time alone with my laptop. I think that most of you will understand my desires to move away from all the chitter chatter around the dining table, right lovelies? Well, after some negotiation with the family, I managed to win a grand prize of quality alone time in my room — yaaaay! I can actually still hear them discussing some thing or another in the kitchen, since perhaps blasting my music would be a bit rude. 

This week Sunday Vanity will be all about Easter time, since most of us are probably completely sucked in right about now, right? No one probably minds the excess of food and sweets in the kitchen but I personally think that the family socialising that comes along with it can be a bit exhausting on a person's mind, wouldn't you agree? Luckily, my family is shattered around the globe so we don't have massive ceremonies but we still get a few guests that will completely overstay their stay and chat away about all the gossip that they gathered since the last family event. And don't get me started on helping to prepare everything from all kinds of different pastries and everything needed for lunch, etc. I'm just sick and tired of it and the day hasn't even ended yet. Right now I'm just sat here with my Chocolate Eggs and typing away while I munch on them with insane joy. 

As I said while Easter can be fun, I mean you have the egg colouring, a bunch of chocolaty sweets and sometimes even presents from family guests, it can also be exhausting if you're not used to excessive socialising. That's why I think that it's important to find an hour, or at the very least half, of your day and just get away from everyone and just rest your mind for a minute before returning back to torturing your cheekbones with constant smiling around the guests. So my advice when it comes to family gatherings around Easter, or any holiday for that matter, is to simply TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF. You deserve it! 

I really wanted to include some pictures from today but to be fairly honest with you, I didn't end up taking any, as I just had to help around the house and play host for the day. Anyone who follows me on Instagram or Twitter will probably know that I'm also currently editing my first ever Youtube video, and I would just like to point out that if it weren't for the family gathering it would have been done already by now. But right now I barely managed to find time for a quick play around Photoshop and a simple post, but chances are I might be able to finish it by tonight.
