Monthly purchases: June

June is the one month I'm most excited has passed by. Hopefully I'm not the only one, am I? I had around 8 different exams, some of which I managed to pass and some I didn't, however I think I didn't do half bad, if I dare say so myself. However, my skin, body and mental health suffered in process, as the amount of stress was insane and at times I didn't think I could deal with it anymore. That of course meant that those weekly pampering sessions turned into an almost daily occurrence (well, three times a week at least).
Considering the amount of products I purchased in previous months, June was relatively calm in that front, much to my surprise as I could barely contain myself from going on a massive spending spree just to calm my nerves. However, that is not to say that I did not manage to fill my shopping basket with a few goodies that I was really excited to try out. And because my blogging has been suffering, I think this was also the perfect excuse to step right back into the game after a too long of a hiatus. So without further rambling, here are my 4 June purchases.
First on the list is AFRODITA OIL CONTROL T-ZONE MATTIFYING SERUM (7,56€). I don't believe this is available to any UK or American readers, and my Slovenian readers can buy this on the Afrodita webpage or in Müller drugstores. I have not tested it out thoroughly enough to give a proper review just yet, however so far it does appear to do what it says on the tin, and that is mattify the T-zone. I would never use this all over my face, as I immediately associate mattifying with drying as a side effect, however for someone with combination skin like me, this works great on the problematic T-zone. It is also currently discounted on the Afrodita online shop linked above, as well as I think it discounted in Müller, however I'm not 100% certain about that one.
CHAMOS ACACI MOISTURE CLEANSING SERUM ($17.00) is a gel formula cleanser, however it does not lather up and it doesn't feel stripping at all. It is marketed as a product that cleanses your skin using moisture ingredients, not oils. I mean I don't have a problem with using oils on my skin, actually my evening skincare routine would feel empty without my wild rose oil. I use the cleansing serum as my morning cleanser, and also sometimes as the second part of my double cleanse, and even though I don't use it as a toner myself, it could apparently be used at that stage as well. A well round versatile product. You can get this over on MEMEBOX
And now for my favourite stage of my routine - acid tone. REN CLARIMATTE CLARIFYING TONER (15,60€) comes in a 150ml bottle and I have been using this since the first week in June, and I barely used up any product, so I believe this should last you quite some time and is well worth the money. The clarifying toner contains quite a few acids: Glycolic, Lactic, Citric and Tartaric acids, while it also contains Flavonoids (antioxidant, skin toning, etc.). Myself and my skin as well have been loving those beautiful acids and set of ingredients, however if you have overly sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend using this daily, but switch it up with something like the Pixi Glow Tonic that is more suitable for sensitive skin. International readers can order it over on FeelUnique, while Slovenian readers can find it in Müller, Maxi and Nama.
Last but not least is a haircare product and that is the PHYTORHUM ENERGIZING SHAMPOO (around 13€). I haven't used this one nearly long enough to give a proper praise, however so far I've been loving it, perhaps because it has a strong rum smell, to me it smells almost like Tiramisu or Eggnog, however not everyone will be a fan of the scent, I reckon. But my hair has been very soft and full of volume (though I have very voluminous hair in general) after every use. I will give a full review after I test it out properly. You can get Phyto on Amazon for international readers, and of course in French Pharmacies, Slovenian readers can buy it in Müller though.
So these have been my Monthly purchases in June, not that many however so far they all seem like lovely products that I will continue to use into this month as well, hopefully at least. If you would like a more in depth full review on any of these products do let me know in the comments below and I'll try to keep testing them out until I feel like I'm able to give an honest and proper review.
What did you empty your wallet for in June?
